Calient Networks Exhibits All-Photonic Switch Architecture at SUPERCOMM 2000

Sunnyvale, Calif., May 30, 2000 – Calient Networks will exhibit, in Atlanta, Georgia, June 6 - 8, 2000, the first in a series of high-density, low-power, intelligent photonic switches, scalable from 256x256 to 1000x1000 ports in a single 7-foot rack with future expansion to 4096x4096 ports. The DiamondWave product line provides fault-tolerant, carrier class performance that can be deployed in local and networked applications to route any speed or protocol from Fibre Channel to OC-768. Calient's architecture and supported applications will be on display in Booth 655, Hall A.

for a presentation entitled "Packets and Photons Converge!" presented by Charles Corbalis,
Calient President and CEO, Pradeep Sindhu, CTO and Founder of Juniper Networks, and
Daniel O. Awduche, Distinguished Technical Member UUNET (MCI WorldCom).

Charles Corbalis will also lead a discussion about Calient and the world of Borderless Photonics
at the Telecom Investor Forum on Thursday, June 8th at 11:30a.m. in the Optical Networking
Track (Room 368W of the Georgia World Congress Center).
